Role Overview

As the Game Capture Lead for our client’s upcoming AAA First Person Shooter (FPS), you’ll lead a skilled team of capture artists and video editors to create high-impact gameplay footage and screenshots on PC. Your mission: to capture the intense action, immersive atmosphere, and innovative mechanics that make this next-generation FPS unique. The content you and your team produce will power marketing assets including trailers, social media campaigns, and promotional materials.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with your capture team to deliver top-tier assets. You’ll also partner with creative leads at Eidra in Stockholm, Sweden, working together to align on marketing and creative direction for each assignment. You’ll have the opportunity to interface directly with our client and their stakeholders—leading AAA game studios based in the United States—ensuring that all content meets the highest standards and resonates with a global audience. Occasional travel to Stockholm may be available for in-person collaboration and creative workshops.

You’ll oversee the capture team’s workflow, manage the asset backlog, and coordinate with the larger, global team to keep projects on track. You’ll also be responsible for asset management, technical equipment, and seamless hand-off of deliverables.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the marketing campaign for an unreleased AAA game title, working alongside world-class teams in both the US and Europe.

This full-time role is based at Eidra's West Loop office in Chicago. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not offered for this position due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of capture artists and editors to produce high-quality gameplay footage and screenshots for marketing campaigns, including trailers, social media, and promotional content.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Chicago, Stockholm, and across the US to align on creative direction, project goals, and deliverables.

• Oversee the entire capture process, ensuring both technical excellence and compelling storytelling that highlights what makes this next-generation FPS unique.

• Manage asset organization, security, and workflow from initial capture through to final delivery.

• Maintain rigorous quality control standards, proactively troubleshooting technical issues to ensure seamless production.

• Drive the creation of engaging social content, leveraging your understanding of what resonates with gaming audiences across platforms.

• Have the opportunity to help shape the design and setup of the studio environment, ensuring it supports creative collaboration and technical excellence.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in PC FPS games and gameplay capture tools.

• Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Demonstrated passion for gaming, content creation, and social media trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in game capture for marketing or promotional purposes.

• Strong skills in cinematography, photography, and visual composition.

• Experience leading creative or technical teams, especially in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Track record of creating engaging social content for gaming audiences.

About this Role

• Salary range: 90,000 - 140,000 USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
